How to prevent your mascara from smudging throughout the night

When it comes to runny mascara, it's your skin's natural oils that make your makeup smear

As in the case of the vanishing concealer, you can limit the damage by powdering around your eyes before applying cosmetics. Orbite Salon beauty manager Loretta Chiesa points out that your lashes shouldn't touch your skin, so reserving mascara for the upper lashes can keep your look cleaner. Also, beware of creamy mascaras – opt instead for anti-clumping, quick-drying formulas. And remember: Waterproof mascaras are made to resist water, not oil.
